    Victorian Cancer Agency

The Victorian Cancer Agency is a unit of the Department of Health and Human Services that funds translational cancer research to improve clinical practice and outcomes for Victorian cancer patients.

The Victorian Cancer Agency’s research grants have been supporting innovation and excellence in cancer research since 2006, investing more than $225 million into translational research and infrastructure.

The following funding schemes are now open and will close at 2.00 pm AEST on 24 August 2020:

    • Early Career Research Fellowships
      • Biomedical research stream
      • Non-biomedical research stream

    • Mid-Career Research Fellowships
      • Biomedical research stream
      • Non-biomedical research stream

Applications are encouraged from multiple disciplines across the translational cancer research continuum.

Please note: The Victoria-USA Cancer Fellowship Exchange Program will not be offered in 2020 due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19 and uncertainty around international travel restrictions.

A standalone Nursing and Allied Health Clinical Research scheme will not run in 2020. Nurses and allied health professionals who meet the eligibility criteria can apply through the Early Career and Mid-Career Research Fellowship schemes.
