Harkness Alumni

The Commonwealth Fund's Harkness Fellowships in Health Care Policy and Practice provide a unique opportunity for mid-career health services researchers and practitioners from Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom to spend up to 12 months in the United States, conducting original research and working with leading U.S. health policy experts.

Since 1998, 20 Australians have taken up this opportunity (listed below). A Harkness Alumni Society has been formed to link present and former Fellows and is convened through an email list (Convenor: Dr Karen Luxford, 2008/09 Fellow). All Australian Harkness Fellows can join the Alumni by visiting the following web page:
http://listserv.uts.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/harkness-fellows-alumni

The intention is to extend the invitation across the Tasman to NZ Fellows too.
