The Joanna Briggs Institute, together with the GRADE Working Group are proud to announce the establishment of the Joanna Briggs Institute Adelaide GRADE Center, located within the Joanna Briggs Institute’s central offices in Adelaide. This center, the first of its kind in Oceania, will focus on promoting the use of GRADE for systematic reviews and guideline development. The GRADE approach reflects ‘best practice’ in terms of clinical guideline development and has been endorsed by organisations across the globe. The newly established center will offer training in GRADE methods and contribute to the scientific development of GRADE methods.
The GRADE Guidance Group co-chair, Professor Holger Schünemann, stated the following regarding the new center: “It is exciting to see the commitment of JBI to GRADE’s principles and approach. This will help facilitating the appropriate uptake and dissemination of GRADE as an approach to transparent evidence assessment in systematic reviews and health technology assessment and recommendation development in the region."
The new GRADE Center Director, Associate Professor Zachary Munn, is delighted with the establishment of the center and the opportunity to formally promote the work of GRADE in Australia and across the Joanna Briggs Collaboration. Associate Professor Munn stated the following regarding the announcement: “It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce the establishment of the Joanna Briggs Institute Adelaide GRADE Center. We are looking forward to working closely with the GRADE working group to highlight the use of GRADE methods across Australia.”
