2015 HSRAANZ Professional Award – Nominations now closed

The winner of the 2015 HSRAANZ Professional Award will be announced at the Welcome Reception of the 9th Health Services and Policy Research Conference in Melbourne on 7 December.  Go to http://www.plevin.com.au/hsraanz2015/ for more information on the conference and how you can attend the reception and presentation of the Award.

The award will be presented to an individual who has made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of health services research in Australia or New Zealand, through scholarship and teaching, advancement of science and methods and leadership.

The Award, which is presented biennially, recognises an individual who has made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of health services research in Australia or New Zealand, through scholarship and teaching, advancement of science and methods and leadership. The Association is keen to recognise those who as well as conducting their own research have fostered others through activities such as mentoring or creating a supportive research environment.

Criteria for Selection

The Award will be made to an individual who has:

  • Initiated a strong research agenda.
  • Made an ongoing contribution to the profession of health services research over many years.
  • Mentored other researchers.
  • Contributed to a supportive research environment.

Nomination Process

  • Nomination is by a third party or parties (not self-nomination.)
  • Nominees do not need to be members of the HSRAANZ, but should be actively engaged in the field of health services research in Australia or New Zealand.
  • Nominations should be in writing, maximum two pages, addressing the four criteria.
