PhD Scholarship in Health Services Research

The Health Services Research Centre in the School of Government has a three year PhD scholarship available to support statistical or economic analyses in health services research. A topic will be agreed with the successful candidate but could include analyses of existing data sets on health services utilisation, nutrition and physical activity, or mental health.

 

Purpose of Award
To further develop capability in health services research, with an emphasis on statistical and economics skill development and analyses.
Selection criteria
Masters degree in statistics, economics or a relevant degree.
Some experience in working with large data sets.
An interest in health services research.
Successful Applicants will have a proven record of academic ability and the potential to benefit from the proposed course of study.

Value

$25,000 stipend for three years plus fees

Tenure of award

Scholarships will be awarded as tenable for 3 years. The second and third year's funding will be dependent progress.

- Experience in economics, statistics or similar area
- Your interest in health services research
- A proposed topic

- Note that you also need to formally apply for admission to the PhD programme through the Faculty of Graduate Research
