Unit Head, Hospitals Information Improvement Unit

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare is seeking a unit head for its Hospitals Information Improvement Unit. The successful applicant will play a leading role in improving the quality, policy relevance and availability of national hospitals information, in collaboration with government agencies, other stakeholders and expert advisers.

Annual Salary: $110,108 to $123,741
Ongoing, full-time
The Hospitals Information Improvement Unit focusses on hospitals information development, particularly for admitted patients and the safety and quality of hospital care. It is the AIHW’s focal point for health classifications (such as ICD-10-AM), and undertakes collaborative work with the Australian Commission for Safety and Quality in Health Care.
The successful applicant will play a leading role in improving the quality, policy relevance and availability of national hospitals information, in collaboration with government agencies, other stakeholders and expert advisers.
