Alison1Congratulations to Dr Alison Pearce, who has been awarded a prestigious UTS Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. Alison will return to the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation (CHERE) at UTS in May 2016 to conduct research on ‘The true costs of cancer – health economics to optimise healthcare funding decisions.’ Her work will look at the costs of cancer from a societal perspective, including estimating lost productivity and examining trade offs between treatment outcomes and quality of life. Alison completed her PhD at CHERE before undertaking a post-doctoral research fellowship at the National Cancer Registry in Ireland.
