The New Zealand Health Research Council has developed a preferred inclusive process for setting national priorities for health research investment in New Zealand. To develop the proposed process, a number of national and international approaches and best practice examples for setting priorities have been considered.
The HRC is now seeking input on whether the proposed process is the best one. This includes an example of scope and selection criteria for what a priority area might look like.
Input on the priorities themselves will be sought later in 2018.
More about the process and suggested scope of priority areas can be found here. Comments or any points for consideration, can be submitted using this you can short survey here. The survey will be available until Monday 19th March. This is the first of many opportunities to have input into the priority-setting process.
Please note, more background documents can be found on the HRC website here.
