ANZICS Critical Care Datathon

WHAT IS A DATATHON?

Participants will form teams of clinicians and data scientists and work on a clinical question using large critical care datasets.

WHO IS THE DATATHON FOR?

  • Intensive Care Clinicians

Doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and anyone interested in improving critical care outcomes – this is for you (no data science knowledge needed!)

  • Data scientists and biostatisticians

Anyone with experience in R, Python, Matlab, SQL, data visualisation, SPSS, SAS, Stata – come along (no clinical knowledge needed!)

  • Health services researchers and policy makers

Experienced and novice researchers, policy makers and health administratoras – this is an event you can’t miss

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Each team is assigned a clinical question to be answered by interrogating one or more of the available data sets. At the end of two days, teams present their findings and winners are decided!

WHAT DO I NEED?

Bring your own laptop (don’t forget the charger), be open to working with others and up for the challenge
