HSRAANZ Webinar – National and International Models of Integrated Care for Child Health: what have we learnt? Recording now available.
Whilst the number of children in Australia and the UK is growing, GPs are seeing smaller proportions of children in their practice and paediatric demand on hospital services such as emergency departments and outpatient clinics is increasing. Compounding this is limited access to paediatric specialist services, especially in rural and in low socioeconomic areas.
Two novel models of integrated care - Strengthening Care 4 Children in Australia and Children & Young People's Health Partnership project in London - aim to support primary care through integrated specialist support. Both models aim to keep care closer to home, reduce the burden on the hospital system and improve quality of primary care for children.
The speakers are leading the development, implementation and evaluation of the models. They will discuss the models and share findings from their cluster RCT (UK) and pilot data across metropolitan and rural settings (Victoria).Leave a reply →
