National Medicines Symposium 2016 – Call for Abstracts closing 29 February

This leading biennial symposium being held in Canberra on 18-20 May brings together experts from across Australia and abroad to discuss and debate local and global approaches to quality use of medicines, and in 2016 will expand to include quality use of broader health technologies. It is a unique cross-disciplinary event, with representatives from all areas of the health sector, enabling more comprehensive conversations. Delegates include clinicians, policy makers, researchers and academics, industry representatives, consumers and government.

The theme for NMS 2016 is Making wise decisions about medicines, tests and technologies: co-designing policy, practice and priorities and will look at current and future challenges affecting the medicines, tests and broader health sector with the core tenets of partnering with consumers, innovation in practice and technologies, and identifying common ground and shared objectives. The sub themes for the conference are: ‘foundations for success’, ‘sustainable systems’, and ‘in practice’.
