NHMRC Consultation: Health and Medical Research Strategy

The NHMRC is inviting comments on a consultation paper setting out a draft National Strategy for Medical Research and Public Health Research.

The  consultation paper National Strategy for Medical Research and PublicHealth Research,  is an essential component of the 2010-2012Strategic Plan.

The draft consultationpaper has been developed through NHMRC’s Research Committee and Council, hastaken into account the recommendations of the three reviews of their researchfunding and peer review processes.

The NHMRC is inviting commentson the draft National Strategy and its responses to the three independentreviews:

Independent Review of the NHMRC Research FundingProcess (The Bernstein Review);

An International Perspective on the NHMRC’s ResearchStrategies (The Zerhouni Review); and 

 Report of the Review of Public Health Research Fundingin Australia (The Nutbeam review).
