Applications are now open for the 25th Victorian Premier's Awards for Health and Medical Research which will be presented on 25 March 2019 at Deakin Edge, Federation Square.

Since 1995, the Premier's Awards have been awarded annually in partnership with the Australian Society for Medical Research, to recognise the exceptional contributions made by early career health and medical researchers in their PhD studies.
The 2019 Premier's Awards will include five category awards:
- Basic Science Researcher
- Clinical Researcher
- Aboriginal Researcher undertaking research in any field of health and medical research
- Health Services Researcher
- Public Health Researcher
One overall Premier's Award for Health and Medical Research Excellence will be chosen from the winners of the five category awards.
The category award recipients receive $5,000 each and the Premier's Award for Health and Medical Research Excellence recipient received $15,000 ($20,000 in total).
Finalists will be announced and promoted ahead of the awards ceremony.
All award winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Monday, 25 March 2019.
