    Two Opportunities for recognition of New Zealand Health Services Research

    1. Call for Liley Medal nominations
    The Health Research Council of New Zealand (HRC) is now seeking nominations for the 2019 Liley Medal.

    This award is presented to an individual or team who have had an outstanding piece of research published in the previous calendar year (January – December 2018) that has made a significant and genuine breakthrough in health and medical science.

    Further information can be found here. Nominations should be directed to Dr Katie Palastanga and are due at the HRC by 1pm, Monday 20 May 2019.
     
     
    2. Call for Beaven Medal nominations  The HRC is now seeking nominations for the prestigious Beaven Medal for 2019.

    The medal is offered annually for excellence in translational health research that has had a high impact on clinical practice and patient health.

    Further information can be found here  Nominations should be directed to Dr Katie Palastanga and are due at the HRC by 1pm, Monday 20 May 2019.

    3. Call for Te Tohu Rapuora nominations

    The HRC is now seeking nominations for Te Tohu Rapuora for 2019.

    Te Tohu Rapuora was established in 2018 as an annual award to recognise the contribution to Māori health research leadership of an individual, research team, or community group. The award may be presented for a specific piece of research, an accumulated body of research, or a life-time contribution that has advanced Māori health.

    As the award may recognise an accumulated body of research or life-time contribution, nominations may be received for work undertaken at any time.Further information can be found here.

    Nominations close at 1pm, Monday 20 May 2019 and should be directed to Mr Stacey Pene
