This award aims to recognise First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of Australia, and Māori, tangata whenua of Aotearoa-New Zealand) researchers or First Nations-led projects whose work contributes to improving health inequities for First Nations people through engaging principles of social justice, self-determination and empowerment. HSRAANZ 2025 AGM + End of Year Event

In the latest round of NHMRC Investigator Grant funding announced on 26 February 2025, HSR representation has fallen to a record low.
